Relation-shits

Human interaction can be a grossly awkward and emotionally painful thing. Not always; but I’ll be damned if we all don’t have a handful of weird stories for every wonderful one. But, to roughly paraphrase every deeply philosophical thing said about the gravity of human relationships: the pain can make them worth it.

I have a weird history with relationships, romantic and otherwise. Not bad, but not all great; it’s somewhere between a shit-show and a dumpster fire being put out. You know, kinda smelly but still something you’re trying to clean up.

So, these pieces are a reflection of that in between. Some are about recent relationships, some older. They’re all reflections of my internal struggle with situating my self to the emotional accountability of feeling for someone else.

Also, check out Michael Nau – his work is bouncing around my apartment like slow wind-chimes this afternoon: great stuff.
